Fibromyalgia: It is what it is...

At this point in time it isn't clear what causes fibromyalgia. So for this post I will keep the explanation short and focus more on what to do. Fibromyalgia is a disorder that has a lot of different signs and symptoms. The biggest one is pain, primarily in the muscular system of the body like muscles, joints, and tendons. Again, there is no hard evidence of what causes fibromyalgia. Theories range from genetics to stress. The fact is that there is no cure at this time. However there are many, many ways to deal with fibromyalgia as a whole.      The primary symptoms of fibromyalgia, and most important symptoms to deal with in my opinion are  Wide spread pain Trouble sleeping general feeling of exhaustion These three create the pyramid that entombs you to the suffering of fibro. Any boxer, martial artist, or MMA fighter can tell you that physical pain is far more exhausting then any other activity. When you look at all the symptoms of fibro, pain is at it's core. Dep

What do you get when you shove rabies in a bullet? Zombies, mother eating zombies.

Rabies. It sucks. Bird flu. It suck. Human immunodeficiency virus. It sucks balls. Add them all together and what do you have? Grab your machete and 12-gauge kids! It's zombie time! Is this devils cocktail ever likely to happen? Not in nature, but this is America. land of doing whatever messed up shit we wanna spend money on.     January 1st, 2020. The Mayans were right; 2012 marked the end of the world as we know it. The OWNers as they are now known as spread like wild fire. the chaos and general anarchy caused by them led the President to making the biggest change in American history. shifting from a capitalist state to a communist state. the stock market froze for three days before plunging into free fall. for the next month the market could be open for no more then an hour before shutting down from sell orders. With the USD now worth as much as toilet paper people resorted to the one thing they had left. Anarchy. The President attempted to declare martial law but with al

the common misconception.

I find that there is a extremely common misconception among people with limited perspective.      Myth: my job is the hardest thing in the world! i don't get paid enough!      Truth: No one cares, A. B, no it isn't. Get over yourself! Even at my job people say each job is harder then the other. I call bullshit on everyone.      1st shift. majority of sales is done, breakfast and lunch is what we do. From 7-10 you run around like a Meth addict dealing with idiots before their morning coffee. After 10 we get an hour to restock and take breaks before we bust ass again for lunch. After 1pm you get an hour to pull shit together then leave exhausted with the rest of your day.      2nd shift. The primary job of this shift is to recover from the morning.  I don't care what anyone bitches about. Morning shift leaves the store a mess because they have less then 2 hours of down time. We have between 2-6 hours of down time. More then enough time to clean! I've worked both

GOD DAMN IT! Three little words that roll off the tongue with any little frustration, irritation, stubbed toe, broken glass, any little issue goes straight to god so he can damn it right to hell for us. Once upon a time in a land far, far away those three words did serious damage. Jesus killed a tree! I think the translation is a little off though. So here is my interpretation of what really happened...      "Jesus Christ I am, Hungry too." Said Jesus "Hey, Look! A fig tree! I love figs!" Jesus ran up to the tree only to find it didn't have a single fig. "uhm... Jesus... you know it's not time for figs right?" said one of the twelve, hiding among the others. "I don't care, I wanted a fig! God damn you tree!"  Grumbled Jesus as he kicked the tree. The tree shook from its leaves to its roots as the curse set in. the twelve looked perplexed as the leaves started to droop be for they even pasted it.      The next day Jesus walke

Teavana: heaven of tea.

Okay, so i work for a coffee shop. I love coffee, I drink it black, black w/ sugar, sugar and milk, I love good coffee. we have a coffee/espresso set up in our kitchen and I love it, I make all kinds of espresso creations, cappuccinos, macchiatos, just not americanos those are gross. so long story short I LOVE good coffee. I enjoy one thing more then coffee.      Tea. mainly Teavana, walking into their store I always take a deep, deep breath and sigh. Everything is pleasing to the eyes, nose, mouth, touch. four out of five senses being happily stimulated is pretty good for one small store. I love the tasting samples, they always have beautiful blends of teas, whites, greens, blacks, roobios, oolong, mates, herbals, all so good and extremely good for you! at the moment I have Maharaja Chai Oolong Tea  and Samurai Chai Mate . I use the Mate blended with my Chaga Chai for mornings because it has as much energy stuff as coffee, just in a slightly different configuration so I use it i

What I learned at Common Ground Fair.

I'm back! So, first off CGF was a blast! I had so much fun and i'm sorry for everyone that didn't go at least once. so I'm going to go in chronological order. First thing I learned was really just a reminder. In Maine when you FINALLY think you know what's going to happen with the weather it will turn around and quickly tell you who's boss. Everyone I saw there was ready for 50-60 degrees and breezy, It's Maine in September! there can be a frost any day! but no. instead we got three day of glorious 75-80 degree weather! days clouds came and went over the weekend, some vary large that seemed to last most of the second day, other unnoticeable on the scorching sunny Sunday. I personally brought no shorts, and only one t-shirt. so it was a rather warm sweaty weekend for me. Second thing is that the most  of the people volunteering not only want to be there, but love being there and what they do there. The mums, dads, grandma, and grandpas in the kitchen beca

My current solar set up.

Image
Alright, so in "Neo-hippie" I talked about my solar panel a little, but my tablet and phone don't just plug into the solar panel magically. One of the great things about the  Goal0 Nomad 7  is the little power box, it has three outputs, one for a Goal0 power pack, a standard USB, and a small outlet that's 12V to use the provided car adapter. For my phone i can just use one of the many USB cords around the house.  My Xoom on the other hand required a special car charger cause it charges at 12V and is to powerful for a little 5V USB. If you go to bestbuy, staples, or motorola.com they wanna charge you almost $30 bucks.        I make almost minimum wage, no way do i wanna shell out that much, so i go to google shopper and lo and behold, Motorola Xoom car charger , for $15 on amazon, not only that but i got a "used" one for seven bucks, so a quarter of moto's price and it still had the original box.      Anyways, After I got my Xoom squared away

The neo-hippie

In today's world technology is everywhere, my phone is more powerful then my dads whole computer lab. At the moment I'm sitting in a cafè typing away on my motorola xoom      Growing up I had two major factions in my life. My dad, the geek, and my mum the hippe. Between learning how to solder and how computers work I would be running bare foot with my friends in the woods. Now, this has me in a kinda conflict, do I use my gadgets all day to try and conquer the chaotic, busy world of the 21st century? or do I try to find achieve inner peace in the shade of a pine tree? If the world was black and white I could choose one of those. It's not. I have to balance both, I must achieve inner peace in a chaotic world.      Which brings me to neo-hippie's . The new hippies.      Now, I thought came to this conclusion for two reasons, one, neo- , means new, or revived a kind of second coming of the 1960 hippies. two, Neo is the main character in the movie "The M

creativity has a half-life.

Remember when you were one? Me nether... i do remember being seven and climbing mt. everest with my five year old sister. just as we got to the top an avalanche started! out of nowhere mum showed up in a helicopter and told us to get off the top of the couch and put the pillows and blankets back on the couch... whatever she ment by that... when I was ten I created the first completely self aware machine out of my Lego robotics set, I won the Nobel prize for being a genius and engineering and robot making. It was a good year... until my robot couldn't take all the fame and jumped off the table, I couldn't save him. At fourteen three major event started, puberty, I started raiding tombs... and her... Today I was on blackboard working o

Super special bagels of awesome!

Alright, the jig is up. At the moment I work at Tim Hortons. Basically there isn't anything I don't do there. I work the floor, take care of orders, file invoices, and a plethora of other things. I have a dirty secret though, because I am only aloud to legally be on the clock for 24hrs/wk and I have more then 24 hours of work to do I have to take some home... but I get paid hourly. So anything I do at home is basically donation... I'm not that giving though... so to get my time paid off I take a bagel! At $2.02 a shot it... doesn't even pay for an hours work... but its something yea? anyways, back to the bagels! we have delicious ones! Sundried Tomato Asiago Parm, A savory bagel with tomato, garlic & herbs, asiago & parmesan cheese. Maple Cinnamon French Toast, A sweet bagel baked with cinnamon and maple syrup. Topped with a buttery cinnamon crumble. Mixed Berry, A sweet bagel filled with blueberries, cranberries, raspberries and blackberries. Topped wi

Psych 101 and the art of making numbers into letters.

Thus begins my senior year in high school. First off I'm starting with psychology and algebra. Nether of which I'm excited for, but like everything else in life I'll give it 100%. I'm more concerned for psychology then algebra, from last semester I heard it's more writing intensive. I'm not a bad writer, just a slow one. Even this small post has taken me almost ten minutes... now imagine having to produce ten full pages of academic grade material about how peoples minds work.... it's a daunting task for for me, algebra is simply trial and error, I get it wrong, learn from the mistakes and then I move on to the next objective. But now it's time for coffee, reading, thinking, more coffee, analizing, contemplating, even more coffee, letters with identity problems, and then finally caffeine jitters before bed.

Rise of generation Y...

Generation X, generation of my father, my mother, my uncles, aunts, and many of my friends. This is blogger though, it's all about me so to speak, so what am I? I am generation Y. In theory generation X is the beginning of the end. For the most part I agree, I see my peers becoming absolutely useless, spending their days begging for money from the state, family, friends, and giving nothing out. Choosing drugs, alcohol, and "fun" over their illigitimate children, the final generation. So where am I? A rare place, the time and place where worlds are made, lives are changed, and the future of man is decided....
